For those who thought Texas country music was just privy to the Lone Star State, Wade Bowen and Randy Rogers Band proved otherwise at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville on Friday night (Sept. 26).
Wade Bowen and his Texas troupe got the night kicked off in fine fashion with a 45-minute set that had the crowd on its feet and singing along to many of his popular tunes, including “Saturday Night” and “Songs About Trucks.”
Before the show got underway, Wade addressed the crowd with Ryman-like reverence, saying, “Hey, do you know we’re playing at the Ryman tonight? Pinch me. It’s truly an honor to be here.”
Randy Rogers shared the same sentiment, saying, “This is a bucket-list show, and that’s the truth,” before he whipped the crowd into a frenzy with hits like “Somebody Take Me Home” and “Buy Myself a Chance.”
Here’s hoping the Texas boys stick around Music City to keep things spicy.
