Carl’s Jr Wants To Replace Human Workers With Robots

There’s a restaurant in San Francisco that’s inspired Carl’s Jr. CEO, Andy Puzder, to replace all human workers with robots in the not so distant future.

“I want to try it. We could have a restaurant that’s focused on all-natural products,” Puzder told Business Insider. “You pay with a credit or debit card, your order pops up, and you never see a person.”

In the long run this could help the company save money with the rise in minimum wages across the US.

“If you’re making labor more expensive, and automation less expensive — this is not rocket science,” says Puzder.

He also argues that millennials don’t like to see people, where I extremely agree, but it still doesn’t replace the smile on someone’s face when they give you your order.

I don’t think I’ll be very fond of this change even if I am guilty of checking out at a kiosk at grocery stores.   Maybe I’ll open up to the idea later on, but as of right now, I’m not a fan.

How do you feel about this situation? You can read more HERE.
