Trace Adkins Is Still Crazy, But He’s Tempering His Vices
TRACE ADKINS has spent a lot of his adult life having a damn good time . . . and then paying for it. He’s had a couple of wives, and a few stints in rehab. But he’s 55 now so it’s time to slow down, right? Well, kinda.
He’s easing his foot off the pedal, but he’s not going to coast. Not even close. He was talking about his new song “Watered Down” . . . and said that it describes his current state in a nutshell.
Quote, “That’s where I’m at right now. At some point, you face the reality that you have to temper your vices, you have to calm your ship down. I’m still crazy, but I’m just going to temper it a little bit, and that’s what this song said.”
“Watered Down” is the first single from his upcoming album, “Something’s Going On”, which will be out March 31st.
Willie Nelson Is Canceling Shows Again
This is happening too often. WILLIE NELSON had to cancel three concerts in Bakersfield, California because of an undisclosed illness. We’re talking last night, tonight, and tomorrow night.
The promoters are hoping for makeup dates, but there’s no word yet on that. His next scheduled show is Friday at the Desert Diamond Casino in Arizona.
Willie missed a couple of concerts back in November because of illness . . . and then a bad cold forced him to cancel two Vegas shows at the end of January. He’s 83 years old and it would seem like he should slow down, but I doubt he will.
EASTON CORBIN fell in love with his new song, “A Girl Like You”, the first time he heard it. Quote, “What drew me to it was, it’s different than anything I’ve done. I’m all about trying new things, as long as I can keep my traditional country and the current sound.” (Delicious Audio)
TYLER HUBBARD says a main reason he and Brian Kelley were drawn to “God, Your Mama, and Me” is because it describes how both of them feel about their wives. (Delicious Audio)
Garth Brooks, Chris Stapleton, Pistol Annies, Dierks Bentley, Brandy Clark, and Lady Antebellum are some of the artists featured on a new DON WILLIAMS tribute album. It’s called “Gentle Giants: The Songs of Don Williams” and it’ll be out May 26th. (Rolling Stone)
