Tiny House missing!

Apparently there’s a “tiny house” trend, where people build one-room houses that are self-sufficient and “green.”  It’s about living simple and not wasting resources.  But here’s one drawback . . .

A guy around San Antonio named Casey Friday has slowly been building a tiny house for more than two years, and it’s finally ready to move into.  Casey and his wife Jessica must really enjoy each others company because the house is only 228 square feet. The couple bought a plot of land just north of San Antonio, parked the house there, and left it sitting on a trailer with wheels.

Which in retrospect was an oversight.  Because while they were gone last month . . . someone hitched it to a truck, and STOLE the entire house.

Casey reported the house missing on December 20th.  Luckily, police found it this past Friday sitting in someone’s driveway, about 45 miles away.  They’re still trying to figure out if the person who lives there took it, or if it was someone they know.

But the real tragedy is that Casey’s dream of living in a one-room shack might be dead.  Because after the house was stolen, he and his wife had to find an apartment and sign a lease.  So now they might have to sell the house.
