So most people will probably think this is disgusting, but I grew up in a household where everything we ate had some sort of spice in it…including the candy. Chamoy and trechas were our best friends!
Earlier today, both Skittles and Starbursts debuted spicy versions of their candies, called Spicy Skittles and Spicy Starbursts, at the annual Sweets & Snacks Expo in Chicago.
The new Skittles flavors include Fiery Watermelon, Blazin’ Mango, Flamin’ Orange, Sizzlin’ Strawberry and Lemon Spark. Meanwhile the new Starbursts flavors are Fiery Watermelon, Strawberry Mango, Flamin’ Orange and Pipin’ Pineapple. I see some similarities there, but who cares. WE NEED IT.
Unfortunately we’re gonna have to wait a while before we can enjoy Spicy Skittles and Spicy Starbursts, as they won’t be available for purchase until December.
Until then I’ll keep putting chamoy on all my beloved sweets.
