Chase Rice is Starting to Dislike Songs About Girls and Trucks

It wasn’t long ago that CHASE RICE had no problem being called a bro country artist.  Maybe he’s still okay with it . . . but he’s been writing songs for his next album and is definitely moving away from those themes.

He says, quote, “I’ve started disliking these songs that I’ve written about a girl and a truck and a perfect night.  I don’t dislike the ones I’ve put out.  I just dislike the amount of songs I put out about that sort of subject matter.”

Sounds to me like he’s trying to say his songwriting has grown up.  Quote, “It’s exciting for me at this point of my life to really know who I am.  It will be all about depth in this next record.

“If there is any way to find out who someone truly is, it’s through hearing about the deepest parts of their lives.  That’s what these new songs will have in them.”

TAYLOR SWIFT and MIRANDA LAMBERT performed “Little Red Wagon” at Taylor’s show in Greensboro, North Carolina on Wednesday.  Tweets and video clips ensued.  You can check ’em out at CMT.com.
