Miranda Lambert Cried During Performance Last Friday

Why Did Miranda Cry During a Performance of “Over You”?

The Internet went nuts after videos surfaced of MIRANDA LAMBERT crying while performing“Over You” last Friday.  That’s the song she co-wrote with BLAKE SHELTON, and it’s about his brother who passed away years ago.

Everyone assumed she cried because it reminds her of Blake, which may be true.  But a woman hit up social media with her own story.  She wrote, “Get your facts straight.  Miranda was crying because she was singing to my husband, a U.S. Airman on Skype.”

(Here’s a video that seems to support that.  Miranda looks directly at the camera and waves at 0:14.)

(Here’s a longer version.  She seems emotional the whole time.  And you can see a different angle of her walking over and waving to the fan.  That’s at 1:32.  She also loses it at 1:41 and can’t sing.  The crowd picks her up and sings for her.)

According to CMT.com, she also cried during her performance of “The House That Built Me” . . . and admitted she was having an emotional day because she was “hormonal” and “had cramps.”

Update: The Band Perry is Not Switching Over to Pop

Forget what you’ve heard, THE BAND PERRY is NOT switching over to pop.  TasteOfCountry.com asked KIMBERLY PERRY to set the record straight  . . . so she did.

Quote, “We never said we’re [going pop.]”

Seems the whole thing started when they signed with Interscope Records, which is known as a pop label.  But she insists they’re still a country band and will release their songs to country radio first.

Now, if a song DOES crossover to pop, good.  That’s what happened with “If I Die Young”, and they’d like that to continue.  Interscope can certainly support that, plus they’re the kind of label that can help the band with international touring.

There is one big crossover that I CAN confirm.  Kimberly is now a brunette.  The band did a 24-hour live stream yesterday on Facebook, and it’s filled with videos that show her new look.  (Here’s one.)

They were streaming to promote their new song “Comeback Kid”.  (You can listen to that, here.)

KELSEA BALLERINI announced the dates of her very first headline tour.  It’ll kick off October 21st in Houston, Texas . . . and run through December 10th in Las Vegas.  You can check out details at KelseaBallerini.com.

FLORIDA GEORGIA LINE says they’ve never had a song that’s connected them to their fans as fast as“H.O.L.Y.” has.  Quote, “It takes our show to a place we’ve never been.”  (Delicious Audio)

OLD DOMINION’s Song For Another Time video opens with images of music players through the ages . . . like phonographs, jukeboxes, and record players.  And then it switches to footage of them performing.
