Lee Brice received a big surprise during his concert at New York’s Madison Square Garden, Friday night (Sept. 12).

As he finished playing his current single, “Drinking Class,” Lee was joined onstage by his friend Hoda Kotb of theToday show and members of the RIAA, an organization that tracks the sales of singles and albums.

They presented Lee with an award recognizing Lee’s song “I Don’t Dance” as the fastest-certified platinum country single released in 2014.

The platinum certification marked sales of 1 million digital units. Lee closed his set with “I Don’t Dance,” a song he wrote for his wife, as the Garden fans rose to their feet.

Congrats to Lee and his team!
