Merle Haggard Biopic in the Works
Merle Haggard may be the next country icon to have his life play out on the silver screen. A production company has optioned a script for a film based on his life.
Deadline reports that GMH Productions has acquired the rights for a project titled Done It All, written by Cliff Hollingsworth (Cinderella Man) and developed in conjunction with Haggard’s friend Carl Cooper. According to Arkansas Online, Cooper and Haggard’s son Ben began recording videos of Haggard telling his life story in the mid-2000s, to use to develop a movie script.
“Merle and I just agreed to put a little money together and start recording everything verbatim from him, get it on film of him telling his story from birth through today,” Cooper said back in 2008. “He asked me because I’m the only guy that he trusts. If you ever make a movie, you’ll know why.”

Keith Urban Asked An Artist Write His Tour Dates on His Naked Upper Body
Well here’s a first. KEITH URBAN really wanted people to know about his Ripcord World Tour. So he had an artist write the cities and dates on his naked torso, then released a time-lapse video of the action.
Keith already has a lot of ink, so there’s a lot to see even when the video starts. Then the guy draws a guitar neck from his shoulder to his chest. After that comes the first tour date, which is June 2nd in Kansas City, Missouri.
The video speeds up as the dates are written across his body, arms, and finally his back. The last date written is November 19th in Brooklyn, New York. And then the camera moves up to Keith’s face.
They didn’t get all the cities onto his body, so they also put up a graphic showing others. The best way to see every single date is to hit up KeithUrban.net.
COLE SWINDELL’s new single “Flatliner” features guest vocals from DIERKS BENTLEY. Cole wrote it several years ago and sent it to Dierks to see if he wanted to record it. Wires got crossed and he never heard back, so Cole decided to record it for himself, and he brought in Dierks as a guest. (Listen to it, here.)
Three Luke Bryan Crew Members Seriously Injured in Car Accident
Three men working as crew at Luke Bryan‘s Kill the Lights Tour stop in Syracuse, N.Y., were seriously injured in a car accident on Sunday morning (April 10) following the concert and were airlifted to nearby hospitals.
The Odessa File reports that at about 8:30AM, a Ford Freestar minivan, traveling south on State Rt. 13 and carrying the three men, veered right off the road, about a half mile north of Alpine Junction, N.Y. The vehicle went airborne, hit a tree and came to rest, on its side, in a water-filled ditch, about 150 feet from where it left the road.
