Man, we should all be so glad that Gwyneth Paltrow is here to make our lives better. With her website GOOP.com she gives tips for the every day, average person, you know, just like her! From reasonably priced family meals (about $50 a plate), to her Goop shop where you can get an oversized shirt for the low-low price of $185.
Now, she’s helping us all out with our yawns. She’s accusing us of yawning incorrectly.
She says it’s important that you NOT repress a yawn, because it’s an absolutely crucial reflex for stress release and physical recalibration.
Here are some of her guidelines, which she learned from some yoga instructor.
- “Gently tilt your head back to a comfortable position and allow your mouth to hang open widely while you gently extend into it.”
- “Contract the back of the throat . . . breathe deeply through your mouth so you feel the air hit the back of your throat.”
- “Inhale and exhale completely while allowing your shoulders to relax as you exhale. And when the yawn comes, reach and extend into it, riding the yawn to stretch the jaw muscles.”
Thank you for the help Gwneth. Our lives our now complete and we’ll yawn correctly from here on out. Now I’ll know how to properly yawn the next time I see one of your tips from Goop.com
