Chris Young Would Like You to Know He’s Not Responsible for Blake and Miranda’s Divorce
There was a rumor that CHRIS YOUNG had something to do with BLAKE SHELTON and MIRANDA LAMBERT’s divorce. He opened for her three years ago, and they were photographed together a couple times.
Well, Chris set the record straight yesterday with a statement on Twitter. Quote, “I don’t normally address gossip but in this case I will. My name has been mentioned as a contributing factor in Blake and Miranda’s divorce.
“That is totally FALSE. They are both my friends and I would not betray that friendship. Just wanted to clear that up. Love you guys.”
But it could be someone ELSE. TMZ says Blake filed for divorce because Miranda has been unfaithful multiple times over the past few months . . . and it wasn’t with Chris or ANY country star.
Supposedly he’s been suspicious for a while, then pulled the trigger when he decided the rumors were true. But something tells me we’ll be hearing unsubstantiated rumors like THAT for a while too.
Here’s what’s going on with BLAKE SHELTON and MIRANDA LAMBERT going forward. They’re both handling the fallout from their divorce announcement in different ways.
Not surprisingly, Blake’s falling back on humor. (CAREFUL!) After a workout yesterday, he Tweeted, “Just got off the treadmill. This calls for a drink. B**** . . .”
When a fan tried to picture him working out, Blake joked that he looked like Sasquatch.
He’s also been working on “The Voice” this week.
And according to “People” magazine, quote, “He’s devastated, but he’s been really private about it. He’s focused on the job and has been as engaged and friendly as he has always been.”
As far as Miranda, quote, “She’s sad and trying to process everything. She’s doing the best she can and taking it day by day.” She’s also performing in Nashville next week.
And they BOTH changed the cover photos for their Twitter profiles. Blake’s used to be Miranda’s cover from“Marie Claire”. Now it’s him performing on stage. And Miranda replaced a photo of her and Blake with a promo for the upcoming show.
