The Grand Ole Opry Concert Movie Will Feature Blake Shelton, Brad Paisley, Darius Rucker, Brett Eldredge, and The Band Perry
There’s a Grand Ole Opry concert movie in the works that will feature performances from Blake Shelton, Brad Paisley, The Band Perry, Darius Rucker, and Brett Eldredge.
It’s called “The Grand Ole Opry: The Movie”, and it may be out as early as December. “People” was at a live taping for it on Monday and they focused on Blake, who was suffering through the Opry’s no-alcohol policy.
He told the crowd it was the reason he’d been “standing out in the parking lot for the past two hours.” He continued the joke after his performance by taking a huge swig from a flask as he walked off the stage.
Brad Paisley performed too, and he was a little more thoughtful. He said, quote, “The thing about being a country singer is that there are sort of two places you play. There’s the Grand Ole Opry . . . and everywhere else.”
Kimberly Perry Would Like to See Reba McEntire Run for President
Even though a million people are running for president, there’s always room for one more. CMT asked THE BAND PERRY for a suggestion, and KIMBERLY PERRY had a good one:
Quote, “I think REBA [MCENTIRE] would make a good president. First of all, she’s the nicest lady on planet earth, but she’s also a very firm business woman. Internationally, she could represent us well. She would make good decisions. I vote Reba.”
Tim McGraw Uses Those Pre-Show Workouts as a Team Building Exercise
Here’s a surprise about those insane pre-show workouts that TIM MCGRAW does with his band and crew. It’s more than just a fitness thing . . . it’s also kind of a team building exercise.
He says, quote, “For us, it’s a good chance to talk about the show. It’s a good chance to hang out together and sort of just talk our way through what we’re doing work wise.”
