Reba Shares Her Thoughts on Country Artists Coming Out
REBA MCENTIRE has been a longtime supporter of the gay and lesbian community, and she did an online chat recently to talk about LGBT rights.
She said that because she grew up in such a small town, the first time she met someone gay was in college. And the first time she ever attended a gay WEDDING was just a couple months ago.
She was also asked to share her thoughts on artists like Billy Gilman, Ty Herndon, and Brandy Clark coming out of the closet. She said, quote, “It’s really, really sad what they’re living with before they decide to come out.
“And then why they decide to come out, and how they deal with it after they’ve come out – the pressure society puts upon them, their families and what they put upon them, whether they accept it or they don’t.
“You know, my new album is called “Love Somebody” . . . I wish it’d been called “Love Everybody”. You gotta love people for who they are. Accept them, and then go on with life.”
Jake Owen Constantly Worries About the Safety of His Baby on the Tour Bus
When JAKE OWEN goes out on tour, his wife Lacey and their two-year-old daughter Olive are usually with him. So when he hears about all these tour bus crashes, his reaction is more parental than anything else.
He says, quote, “I do worry about stuff like that, ’cause my little girl sleeps right above my wife and I when we’re going down the road. When we go to bed at night, we sleep going 80 miles an hour.
“People don’t know the feeling of being dead asleep and all of a sudden feeling rumble strips. You kinda just pray that everything’s okay.”
After the fire on LADY ANTEBELLUM’S tour bus, Jake was also quick to reach out to HILARY SCOTT to check on her baby. Thankfully, little Eisele wasn’t on the bus when it happened.
