Dwight Yoakam Has Been Pushing Eric Church to Record with Him
There’s a chance ERIC CHURCH and DWIGHT YOAKAM will record something together. In fact, if it were up to Dwight, it would’ve already happened. He pushed hard for it while opening on the “Outsiders”World Tour.
He says, quote, “I told Eric, we should do THE ROLLING STONES song ‘The Last Time‘. He was on his way to the stage, I was coming off and we’d be like, ‘We oughta do it.’ The opportunity didn’t present itself. That’s about as close as it got.”
Eric may be a little shy about recording THAT song because Dwight once performed it live with one of the greatest singers ever.
Dwight says, quote, “I told him I did it with TOM JONES and he just cracked up and walked on and said, ‘Oh man, I don’t know if I could top something you did with Tom Jones.'”
If they ever do make it happen, as always, schedules will have to match up. He adds, quote, “It depends upon the divergent paths of individual artists and whether they collide again. It’s always open for interpretation.”
Thomas Rhett Can’t Work with More Than Five Songwriters at Once
You probably know that a lot of country songs are team-written, but you may be surprised to learn how large those teams are. THOMAS RHETT was asked how many songwriters he’s worked with at one time. He said, quote, “I think just five.
“I think there were seven that wrote ‘Cruise’ for FLORIDA GEORGIA LINE, but the most writers I’ve ever had are five. I can’t do more than that. More than three brains [and] it gets complicated in the room. Too many opinions.”
Carrie Underwood Made the Mistake of Asking Brad Paisley for Pregnancy Advice
CARRIE UNDERWOOD will be popping out her first child very soon. Like most expectant moms, she’s been asking EVERYONE for advice . . . including BRAD PAISLEY, whom, despite being the father of two boys, was useless.
He told CMT, quote, “I’ve gotten a few texts from Carrie . . . like, ‘Who’s your pediatrician?’ And, ‘How do you do that?’ Or, ‘What’s this?’ I’ve no clue what to tell her.”
He adds, quote, “My kids get to be home with my wife, their mother. It’s a much different thing when it’s the mom going on the road. I cannot imagine what it would be like if she’s got a weekend with three shows, and she’d have to just leave breast milk in the fridge. That would be rough.”
LUKE BRYAN totally turned it out in New Orleans over the weekend as celebrity grand marshal of the Endymion parade. (Pronounced “en-DIM-ee-uhn.”) Yes, he performed, but he also took selfies, threw beads to the crowd, and got drunk THREE times in ONE day. (Full Story)

MARTINA MCBRIDE let a fan propose on stage during her concert last week in Davenport, Iowa. She even retweeted a pic where she’s giving the guy plenty of room to pop the question. She captioned it, “This happened.”
