Crystal Gayle Inducted to Grand Ole Opry Saturday

Here’s Why Jon Pardi Released Back-to-Back “Boot Songs”

JON PARDI didn’t want to release “Dirt On My Boots” as the follow-up to “Head Over Boots”.  I mean, two “boot songs” in a row?  Fortunately, his record company knew they’d both be hits so they made a deal with him.

He said, quote, “They really wanted another boot song, so I [was] like, ‘Alright, let’s get a boot sponsorship.  I like [both songs] and I wear boots every day.'”

Not sure this is the deal he was looking for, but his website has a link to a FootwearNews.com article of him loving his Lucchese boots.  (The article also features the footwear choices of Nikki Lane and Langhorne Slim.)

One more thing about Jon:  He and DIERKS BENTLEY covered George Strait’s “Carrying Your Love with Me” during their show on Saturday in Nashville.

Country Stars Speak Out On the Women’s Marches on Saturday

Several country stars hit up social media with their take on the women’s marches on Saturday.  MEGHAN LINSEY actually marched in Nashville and posted a photo of herself holding a sign that said, “A woman’s place is in the revolution.”

KACEY MUSGRAVES posted a pic of someone holding a sign that quoted her song “Biscuits”BROTHERS OSBORNE gave this shout-out:  “Saw the women’s march on the way to the airport.  The first amendment at its finest.”

WYNONNA must have been getting negative comments about her sister ASHLEY JUDD’s speech in Washington.  She had to remind all of her fans that she doesn’t do politics on Twitter.  You can find more reactions at TasteOfCountry.com.

LUKE BRYAN found out he’ll be singing the National Anthem at Super Bowl 51.  He was so excited he put on a pair of sunglasses and posted a video about it.

WYNONNA JUDD announced the dates of her 2017 Roots and Revival Tour.  It’ll kick off March 2nd in Englewood, Florida . . . and run into October.  Grab dates at Wynonna.com.

CRYSTAL GAYLE became a member of the Grand Ole Opry on Saturday.  Even better, she was inducted by her sister, LORETTA LYNN.  (Tennessean)
