CMA’s Released 50th Anniversary Song and Video

For the Good Times: A Tribute to Ray Price, Willie Nelson.  He gets help from Vince Gill and the Time Jumpers on six songs, including Ray’s classic Heartaches By The Number“.

WILLIE NELSON’s new album, “For the Good Times: A Tribute to Ray Price”, is out today.  He also released the first video.  It’s the song, “I’ll Be There (If You Ever Want Me)”, and it features a guest appearance from Vince Gill and The Time Jumpers.  You can check it out at RollingStone.com.

 


Details on the CMA’s 50th Anniversary Song and Video, “Forever Country”

 

As you know, this year’s CMA Awards is their 50th, and to celebrate, they’re releasing a song called “Forever Country”.   And they didn’t hold back:  It features 30 different CMA Award-winning acts.

It’s about everybody you can think of, including Carrie Underwood, Brad Paisley, Dierks Bentley, Keith Urban,Tim McGraw, Kacey Musgraves, Willie Nelson, Dolly Parton, George Strait, Blake Shelton, and Lady Antebellum.

It’s a mashup of John Denver’s “Take Me Home, Country Roads” . . . Willie Nelson’s “On the Road Again” . . . and Dolly Parton’s “I Will Always Love You”.

The song’s out today, but the video won’t premiere until Tuesday.  In the meantime, you can check out teaser clips featuring several of the artists, at ForeverCountry50.com.

The “50th Annual CMA Awards” will air November 2nd on ABC.

DOLLY PARTON plays the town tramp in the upcoming TV movie, “Christmas Of Many Colors: Circle of Love”.  It’s based on a real woman she patterned her look after when she was little.  Quote, “So, I’m the painted lady . . . I got a little part in the movie playing that.”
