Chris Stapleton Has Written Over a Thousand Songs

CHRIS STAPLETON was on the “Today Show”, and they asked how it feels going from being someone who used to just WRITE hit songs, to being the guy out front SINGING those songs.

He said, quote, “Well, it’s a weird thing.  I’m not going to lie to you.  But it’s a real treat.  We’re excited about it and having fun just playing music, like always.  There’s just more people and more strange moments just like this.”

The “strange moments” thing is interesting because the interview was going well.  That could be his way of saying he IS still getting used to being out front.

Anyway, they also talked about how he’s a prolific writer and asked how many songs he’s written.

He said, quote, “Oh, I don’t know, a thousand plus, somewhere in there.  I don’t really know the count.  I’d have to ask somebody.  Somebody somewhere knows, I think.”

Miranda Lambert’s Heart Belongs to Anderson East

MIRANDA LAMBERT posted photos and a sweet birthday letter to her boyfriend, Anderson East, who turned 30 on Monday.

Here’s some of it:  Quote,”My favorite Bama boy [owns] the stage and he owns my heart.  Thanks for inspiring me in so many ways.  You are a light that could outshine the sun. I love making memories with you.”

He loves her back, that’s for sure.  He posted his own message saying that he “has the love of an amazing and kind woman.”

He also  thanked everyone who sent good wishes on his special day.

Jerrod Niemann Will Be Releasing a “Good Headphones” Album

JERROD NIEMANN has been working on a new album, which will be out later this year.   He brought in DIAMOND RIO for one of the songs, and you have to love the title.  It’s called “I’m Here ‘Cause I Ain’t All There”.

As far as the sound, he says it’s organic, and even quiet, and is filled with moments that sound good on studio speakers and headphones . . . which is exactly how he hopes you’ll listen to it.  Quote, “I would like it to be coined as a good headphones record.”

DAN + SHAY got into a Twitter war with a so-called loyal fan over their song “Road Trippin'”.  He seemed disappointed that other fans weren’t supporting it enough.  That angered them for some reason and they jumped all over him for saying it.  They even used a few expletives along the way.  (Full Story)
