Chris Stapleton and Little Big Town Perform Tennessee Whiskey

Luke Bryan Drank Too Much and Challenged Michael Phelps to a Swim-Off

Remember when LUKE BRYAN said he was going to suck down a quick beer right after singing the National Anthem at the Super Bowl?  Well, that fast one was followed by a few more . . . and then some stupidity.

Last week at an event in Nashville he admitted to making a “drunk bet” that everyone on the planet knows he’ll never win.

Here’s what he said, quote, “After I walked off stage [of the Super Bowl] I started drinking a whole lot of beer and Caroline let me know that I challenged Michael Phelps to a swim-off in our pool.”

That got Michael’s attention and he put down the bong and accepted the challenge.  He Tweeted, “We’re having a race?  When?  Where?  I’m in.  Ha-ha.”

Aaron Watson Identifies with 6:00 A.M. Workers

“Rolling Stone” was interviewing AARON WATSON . . . and they congratulated him for building his career without the support of a record label.  He’s an independent artist who got noticed by working his ass off and never giving up.

At one point he went to a window and noticed something that helped him explain what he’s all about.  He said, quote, “I’m looking down, and there’s a bunch of dudes who’ve been up since 6:00 A.M., working construction at the building across the street.

“I’ve done a lot of manual labor in my life, so I’m very thankful to get onstage every night and strum my guitar and sing my songs.  We’re just going to continue doing what we’ve always done, [work] hard and ride a horse named hustle.”

They also talked about how the record companies ignored him for so long because they thought he was only popular in his home state of Texas.

To that he said, quote, “People still call us a regional act, but if that’s the case, then we’re a regional act that can sell out shows in 40 states and 10 countries.  A regional act with an exhibit at the Country Music Hall of Fame.”

The Opry must also like what he does.  They’ve released video of him performing They Don’t Make ‘Em Like They Used To.  It’s from his show there earlier this month.

Colton Swon is Engaged to Fellow Former “Voice” Contestant Caroline Glaser

COLTON SWON of The Swon Brothers got engaged to fellow former “Voice” contestant CAROLINE GLASER over the weekend.  They met while competing in Season Four.

He posted the good news on Instagram, writing, “She said yes.  I get to marry my best friend, y’all.  I’ve been dreaming her up my whole life and she’s so much more than what my simple mind could come up with.  Thank you Lord for this amazing girl.”

I can NEVER get enough of CHRIS STAPLETON . . . and I think LITTLE BIG TOWN feels the same.  They brought him out last week to help perform Tennessee Whiskey.  No need to thank me . . . just enjoy.

JON PARDI did the black-and-white thing for his “Dirt On My Boots” video.  It starts with him backstage as he’s making his way out to perform . . . and it ends with him leaving the venue with a super hot girl.  Hey, it’s his video.  (Here’s the link.  The song kicks in around 0:58.)
