New Reba McEntire Album out Today

New Albums Out Today:

Sing It Now: Songs of Faith & Hope, Reba McEntire. It’s a faith-based double album.  The first disc focuses on traditional hymns, and the second disc features contemporary music.  Kelly Clarkson and Trisha Yearwood join her on a song called “Softly and Tenderly”.

Remnants, LeAnn Rimes.  She co-wrote 10 of its 13 tracks.  You can listen to “Love Line”, here.

Luke Bryan’s Friends Are Betting On the Length of His Super Bowl National Anthem

LUKE BRYAN can help his friends make some quick cash.  All he has to do is tell them how long his National Anthem will last at Sunday’s Super Bowl . . . and then they can put down their hard-earned money on a prop bet.

He’s not going do it, though, because that’s wrong.  He talked about it at yesterday’s Super Bowl press conference.

Quote, “A friend called and [said], ‘You going long?’  I said, ‘What’re you talking about?’  And he goes, ‘On the anthem.  Are you going long?’  I’m like, ‘Oh, come on.'”

He did mention that the song is usually a little over two minutes long, but his timing will depend on how nervous he gets.  Quote, “There’s no telling how long it may go.

“I’m gonna walk out there and follow my heart and follow the vibe of the room.  I may get out there and go, ‘I’m about to pass out.  I need to get this thing over quick.’  Or, I may get out and feel good in the moment and try to milk it a little bit.”

Here’s something that may make a difference.  He’s going to sing it a cappella, meaning there won’t be a band or orchestra to slow him down . . . or speed him up

Dierks Bentley Sits In the Cheap Seats Before Every Concert

Here’s something to think about if you have super crappy seats at a DIERKS BENTLEY concert.  Chances are, he was sitting in THAT very spot just a few hours earlier.

Way before the show starts he finds what he considers the worst seat in the house, and then parks himself there to get a little perspective on what that fan will be experiencing.

He says, quote, “I sit there and think, ‘Okay, how can I sing to this person who will be sitting right here?  How can I make them feel the music?  Feel the lyrics?’  I’m very conscious about every seat in the house.”

Believe it or not, he finds similarities in the huge venues he performs in today, and the tiny clubs where he worked for tips.

Quote, “I look how I started out, having to connect to people physically or through the music.  I do the same thing now, whether it be high-fiving somebody or diving out into the crowd or just breaking down the wall with the words to my songs.”

BRANTLEY GILBERT’s tour is underway, and that means he’s already beating LUKE COMBS at “Madden”.  We know this because Brantley recently admitted he’s going to cheat, and win.  (Full Story)

LAUREN ALAINA did a stripped-down version of her new song, I’m Doing Fine.  It’s from CMT’s “Next Women of Country Live”.

JOHN RICH’s Redneck Riviera nightclub is open for business in Vegas . . . and man, it lives up to its name.  There’s a beer can wall, a giant table shaped like a guitar, and benches made out of pickup truck tailgates.  I like it.  (Full Story)

I can’t think of a better time to revisit TRAVIS TRITT’s song, Falcons Fever.  He wrote it in 2004 and the team often plays it at halftime of home games.  Yes, he’s is excited for Sunday.  Quote, “Growing up in Marietta, Georgia, I’ve been a lifelong Atlanta Falcons fan.  I’m thrilled that my home team is going to the Super Bowl.”
