Luke Bryan Smacked Guy in Audience Who Wad Flipping Him the Bird

Luke Bryan Smacked an Audience Member Who Was Flipping Him the Bird

LUKE BRYAN must’ve had one of those “I’ve had it up to here with clowns like you” moments while performing at CHARLIE DANIELS’ Volunteer Jam on Wednesday.  He smacked an audience member who was flipping him off.

He was performing his song “Move” when he noticed a guy giving him the finger.  The more he looked at him, the bolder the guy got until he actually stood up defiantly.  Pretty sure that’s what set Luke off because he pointed at him and said, “Come on.”

The guy walked toward the stage so Luke stepped down and smacked him on the side of the head.  It was the hand holding the mic, and he may have hit him with it.  Then he went back to singing as if nothing had happened.

As always, fans had camera phones rolling so it blew up on the Internet.

(Here’s a clip where you can see the guy sitting in the front row, and he suddenly flips the bird.  It’s at the 0:05 mark.  Then he stands up, almost defiantly, and that’s when Luke calls him over.  He hits him at 0:15.)

There were also reports that a different guy was waving a sign that read, “We can see your camel toe,” which is a reference to the tight jeans he likes to wear.  Luke issued a statement, but it wasn’t an apology.  It’s more of a justification of why he hit the guy.

Here it is:  “A man in the front row was making crude hand gestures.  It was insulting not only to him, but more importantly to the families sitting around him who were there to celebrate Charlie Daniels and the efforts of raising money for the military veterans . . . some of whom were in the audience.

“Concert security personnel saw the man’s disruptive actions and he was escorted out.”

DOLLY PARTON announced that her foundation is giving $1,000 a month to families who’ve lost homes in the fires of East Tennessee.  She also set up a fund for people to donate at DollywoodFoundation.org.

KANE BROWN’s debut album is out today . . . and he’s feeling some pressure.  Quote, “I’m excited but I’m nervous too because I don’t want to let anybody down, and you never know what’s going to happen.  You can either tank or you can blow up . . . so I’m nervous and scared.”  (Delicious Audio)
