Kenny Chesney Apologized to a Police Officer After Mistakenly Saying He Died
KENNY CHESNEY gave a shout-out to a police officer who couldn’t be at his Philadelphia show on Saturday, because he was shot SEVEN times. The good news is he survived, but the bad news is that Kenny mistakenly told the crowd he died.
The officer’s name is Christopher Dorman and he was shot on Friday, but a day later he was doing so well that he posted a video from his hospital bed. He thanked the police, paramedics, and doctors . . . and he added, quote, “Hey Kenny, don’t forget me.”
It’s not clear if Kenny saw the video or if someone told him about it before he went on stage. He did release a statement, saying, quote, “I was so caught up in the moment. I think the emotions got the best of me, and I wasn’t as clear as I could’ve been.”
Kenny also called Officer Dorman yesterday morning to apologize, and he confirmed it on social media, writing, “@Folcroft-PD. He’s doing great. Told him we’d watch an Eagles game and have beers one day. Here’s to a speedy recovery.”
FLORIDA GEORGIA LINE released to social media the cover of their new album “Dig Your Roots” . . . and it features childhood photos of BRIAN KELLEY and TYLER HUBBARD. Brian’s wearing a diaper, a cowboy hat, and boots . . . and Tyler’s riding some kind of toy 4-wheel drive. The album will be out August 26th.
HILLARY SCOTT & THE SCOTT FAMILY have released the video to their song “Thy Will“. It’s almost entirely Hillary because, well, she’s the star.
