Carrie Underwood Doesn’t Know What “Squad” Means
Would you be happy if I told you CARRIE UNDERWOOD doesn’t have a ‘squad?’ In fact, when“People” asked her about it, she had no idea what they were talking about.
She said, quote, “What’s squad? I don’t even know squad. Like a posse? I have people I hang out with. My friends are normal people . . . one’s a baker and the other’s a stay-at-home mom.”
She also hit up Twitter to reveal the mysterious male singer on her new song “Heartbeat“. Quote, “Glad people seem to be liking ‘Heartbeat’. Lots are asking who the other voice is on the track . . . it’s the one and only SAM HUNT.”
Faith Hill Is Producing a Daytime Talk Show, And Kellie Pickler is One of the Hosts
FAITH HILL seems to have put her recording career on hold, and this may be why. She’s turning into a TV mogul. She’s producing a new daytime talk show that’ll be shot in Nashville.
It sounds like a MARTHA STEWART hybrid. It’ll feature southern-inspired cooking, entertaining, home design, and gardening. Faith will work mostly behind the scenes, although she will make guest appearances.
There are going to be cohosts, but the only one confirmed so far is KELLIE PICKLER . . . and Faith’s talking her up big time.
She said, quote, “[Kellie] is a woman of so many talents. She possesses the ability to reach far beyond the camera and into the hearts of people, allowing you to feel immediately connected to her.
The name of the show will be revealed in a couple of weeks. It’s also not clear when it’s going to debut, although some reports say it’ll be the fall of next year.
Kelli Pickler’s reality TV show , “I Love Kelli Pickler”, premieres on CMT Nov. 5th at 10/9c.
Willie Nelson Is Under the Weather and Canceling Three Shows
WILLIE NELSON’s not feeling well, so he and MERLE HAGGARD are canceling three Django and Jimmie tour dates.
The concert tonight in Florence, South Carolina has been rescheduled for April 6th . . . and tomorrow night’s show in Roanoke, Virginia is being moved to Monday.
Unfortunately the concert this Saturday night in Reading, Pennsylvania isn’t being rescheduled at all, just cancelled.
It doesn’t sound like this is anything serious. Willie’s still planning to perform solo on Sunday at the American Roots Festival in Raleigh, North Carolina.
Somebody’s been spreading rumors that DOLLY PARTON has stomach cancer. She issued a statement on her site saying, quote, “It is true that I had kidney stones. I had them removed three weeks ago and I am doing just fine. There is absolutely no truth at all that I have stomach cancer.”
LUKE BRYAN freely admits there are not enough women in country music. Quote, “It’s evident and clear that people are talking about the lack of women in the genre. It’s something that has to be visited, and you gotta figure out why it’s going on [and] start making a concerted effort to fix that.” (Delicious Audio)
Hayden Panettiere Seeks Professional Help for Postpartum Depression
After revealing she is struggling with postpartum depression during a television appearance last month, Hayden Panettiere has checked into a treatment facility. The singer and Nashville star welcomed daughter Kaya last winter.
Panettiere “is voluntarily seeking professional help at a treatment center as she is currently battling postpartum depression,” a rep tells People, asking the media to “respect her privacy during this time.”
“It’s something a lot of women experience. When they tell you about postpartum depression you think it’s, ‘I feel negative feelings towards my child, I want to injure my child, I want to hurt my child’ — I’ve never, ever had those feelings,” Panettiere explained on Live With Kelly and Michael in September. “Some women do. But you don’t realize how broad of a spectrum you can really experience that on. It’s something that needs to be talked about. Women need to know that they’re not alone, and that it does heal.”
“There’s a lot of misunderstanding — there’s a lot of people out there that think that it’s not real, that it’s not true, that it’s something that’s made up in their minds, that ‘Oh, it’s hormones.’ They kinda brush it off,” she continued. “It’s something that’s completely uncontrollable. It’s really painful and it’s really scary and women need a lot of support.”
Panettiere, 26, is married to Wladimir Klitschko, who is a professional boxer. Kaya Evodokia was born in December 2014. Though she’s battling PPD, the star says she would like to have more children.
