Miranda Lambert Refuses to Badmouth “Bro Country”
“Billboard” tried to get MIRANDA LAMBERT to go off on “bro country” because, well, it’s the law these days. They asked if that’s the reason she’s the only woman up for Entertainer of the Year at Sunday’s ACMs.
She said, quote, “I don’t know where bro country came from or what it really means, but a lot of those guys are my buddies and I support their music. Within country there are lots of styles.
“[There’s] stone-cold country, like BRANDY CLARK, and there’s FLORIDA GEORGIA LINE with what they do, which is completely different and bringing a whole new audience. There’s room for everyone.”

The University of South Carolina football team has a tradition where they allow a special guest receiver to come off the sideline and catch a touchdown pass during their annual “spring” practice game.

Tim McGraw is Headlining a Sandy Hook Tribute Concert
TIM MCGRAW is headlining the Concert for Sandy Hook Promise, which will raise funds for the protection of children against gun violence. Tim’s fiddle player is close friends with a family that lost a child in the Sandy Hook shooting.
He says, quote, “Out of this tragedy a group was formed to honor the lives lost and turn it into a moment of transformation.” The concert is July 17th in Hartford, Connecticut, with BILLY CURRINGTON and CHASE BRYANT as the openers.
Who wants to see a horse line dancing to “Achy Breaky Heart”? BILLY RAY CYRUS does. He loved it so much he posted it on his Facebook page and captioned it, “Best thing ever!”
