This skit has caused a lot of controversy since last night’s Emmy Awards. Some people have dubbed this gag as sexist.
Vergara has since then defended herself saying that she thought the joke actually represented the complete opposite. She claims that it showed that someone can be hot AND funny and make fun of herself.
