TIM MCGRAW has had his share of weird audience experiences in the past few months. From drunken fans pummeling each other . . . to that woman who pawed at him until she ripped his jeans. And yet, he doesn’t think the crowds are any crazier than in the past. He says, quote, “When you have that many people together, things are going to happen. “I don’t know how many millions of people go to concerts every year, but things are going to happen. But they’re rare. If you put it in context, and the number of people who go to shows and the number of concerts there are, it’s not that much.”Tim’s been touring for some 20 years so he’s certainly a good judge of how things have or have not changed . . . but what HAS changed is the technology that allows us to see the craziness. He says, quote, “There are more cameras, more texting, more Instagramming, so you see it more and you’re aware of it more. Things are more visible and more apparent now than they ever were.”
