Jason Aldean is Offering Breast Cancer Survivors the Chance to Be an Honorary Roadie Again

JASON ALDEAN has been doing a lot to raise awareness for breast cancer research for the past 13 years.  His best friend lost his wife to the disease back in 2004, when she was in her early thirties.

So for his tour starting at the end of April, he’s offering breast cancer survivors the chance to be an “honorary roadie” again.

At select shows, a breast cancer survivor and their guest get tickets, VIP backstage access, and a private meet and greet.  Jason basically rolls out the red carpet for them, and gives them the royal treatment.

They have dinner with him and everyone putting the show together, hang out, see the concert . . . the whole bit.  He also donates a portion of each ticket to the Komen foundation.

Just go to the Susan G. Komen Foundation website at komen.org/Jason-Aldean to enter or nominate someone.

He says, quote, “As long as I’m doing what I’m doing, I will do what I can to fight breast cancer and celebrate its survivors . . . we’re going to treat as many survivors as we can this year with a night out to take their minds off everything else.”

Kelsea Ballerini Put a Twitter Troll in Their Place

Did you see how KELSEA BALLERINI put a Twitter troll in their place this weekend?  She’s on tour with Thomas Rhett, and joining Lady Antebellum in May.

Well, whoever it was . . . we’re assuming they live in their parents’ basement . . . said, “If you’re going to pretend to play the guitar, at least be good at it.”

There are a couple ways to handle something like that, starting with our favorite.  IGNORE it.  It’s the best way to handle a troll.  They WANT the attention, remember?

Or you could do what Kelsea did, and point out how the comment makes no sense.  Here’s how she responded:  “Uhhhh, I do three songs acoustic . . . Like literally just my guitar.  Maybe try less beer.”  BURN.

Of course, whoever bullied her in the first place might have been criticizing those songs. That’s why ignoring cyberbullies is like kryptonite to them.  Plus, why should a Grammy-nominated artist have to defend themselves from some random jerk.

Anyway, whoever the guy was didn’t like the attention, because his original Tweet, and his account, are now “unavailable.”

KALIE SHORR retweeted the whole thing, and wrote, “Why does no one accuse male artists of pretending to play guitar, but it happens to girls all the time?”  Another good point.

Hit up Nash Country Daily for everything you want to know about the ACMs this Sunday.  And we mean EVERYTHING . . . nominees, presenters, performers, facts, notes, and a pre-cap.  (Full Story)

ZAC BROWN closed out the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo on Sunday by playing a sold-out show . . . and buying a $330,000 steer named Magic.  (Full Story)
