GEORGE STRAIT is 64. The King of Country!
Legendary Nashville Songwriter Guy Clark Has Died
Songwriter GUY CLARK has passed at the age of 74. You may not know his name, but you’ve heard his music. His songs have been recorded by Johnny Cash, George Strait, Willie Nelson, Kenny Chesney, Alan Jackson, and Brad Paisley.
As an artist, he recorded more than 20 albums, including “My Favorite Picture of You”, which won a Grammy for Best Folk Album. And the RICKY SKAGGS version of his song “Heartbroke” went to Number One in 1982.
THOMAS RHETT has been doing athletic challenges as part of his sponsorship deal with Snap Fitness. So, when Kansas City Chiefs quarterback AARON MURRAY challenged him to do some NFL Combine drills, he said yes. He did the Broad Jump, the Three Cone Drill, the 20 Yard Shuttle, and the 60 Yard Shuttle.
It’s hard to pass up video of MIRANDA LAMBERT performing classic rock. Here she is doing BILLY SQUIER’s “The Stroke“ at a recent show in Indiana.
Chris Janson Drinks Up to 12 Mountain Dews A Day
CHRIS JANSON once admitted to drinking 12 Mountain Dews a day. Sounds crazy . . . I mean, that’s 4,380 bottles a year.
Well, NashCountryDaily.com asked him if he still does it, and he said that he “can absolutely” hit that number. So, he still drinks TONS of it, but not always 12 a day.
And to prove how much he loves the stuff, he even passed a taste test. They gave him three cups filled with different sodas that all looked the same. One was Sun Drop, another was Mellow Yello . . . and then the Mountain Dew.
He took a sip of each one, and not only did he identify the Dew, he also correctly guessed the other two. And then he grabbed the Mountain Dew bottle and started pouring. (You’ll find the video, here. Scroll down half way.)
