Shania Twain Debuted Her New Song at Stagecoach . . . And Also Performed with Nick Jonas and Kelsea Ballerini
SHANIA TWAIN finally debuted her new song “Life’s About to Get Good” at the Stagecoach Festival on Saturday. She also injected some youth into the show by bringing out NICK JONAS for a song, and KELSEA BALLERINI for another.
If I were granted three wishes, I’d take CHRIS STAPLETON’s voice . . . and then who needs the other two. He released another song from his upcoming album, “From A Room: Volume 1”, which is out Friday. This one’s called, “Second One to Know“. You’re welcome.
Kip Moore Did a Private Post-Show Performance for Fans Who Arrived Late
Sure, every artist loves their fans . . . but how many would RETURN to the stage to do a private show for a few who came late? KIP MOORE found out they had driven five hours to see him but ran into trouble and only caught the tail end of the show.
So, he had them stick around. He posted a photo, and it’s pretty cool to see him, a few fans, and hundreds of empty seats. He captioned it, “Decided to give them their own show after they drove five hours and only caught the end of the encore.”
FAITH HILL got booed while on stage in St. Louis last Thursday when she mentioned watching the NFL draft before the show. She didn’t put it together that the Rams had recently abandoned the city for Los Angeles.
TIM MCGRAWhad to step in and let her know why, and then he soothed the crowd’s anger by bringing up the St. Louis Blues hockey team, and the baseball Cardinals. (Video)
KENNY CHESNEY went theatrical in his “Rich and Miserable” video. It stars JOHN C. MCGINLEY as a college professor who gives an inspiring speech to his students. You may remember McGinley as Dr. Cox on “Scrubs”.
Blake Shelton Always Does Shots Before His Encores
Ever wonder what BLAKE SHELTON does while you’re begging him to come back to the stage for an encore? Yep, you guessed it. He knocks back a stiff one. RAELYNN opens a lot for him and that’s how it came up.
She said, quote, “He always does an after-the-show shot at the bottom of the stage. Everybody will go back there and he’ll do a shot and then go up and finish and do two more songs for his encore.”
She said his alcohol of choice changes, but I’d be shocked if he didn’t have a regular stash of his Smithworks vodka ready and waiting.
After August 25th, BILLY RAY CYRUS will ONLY answer to the name CYRUS. That’s the name he started his career with, but only changed it because his record company insisted. It’s also the 25th anniversary of “Achy Breaky Heart” so he recorded some new versions. (Rolling Stone)
This video might give you vertigo. It’s CHARLIE WORSHAM’s “Cut Your Groove“ . . . and the camera spends a whole lot of time swirling around him like he’s a record on a groove. Y’know, like in the title.
LEE GREENWOOD changed the lyrics of “God Bless the U.S.A.” while performing at an NRA event last week. He switched it to “God Bless the NRA“ during the second chorus. (It’s at the 2:44 mark.) The first and third chorus stayed the same.
