You may remember last summer when KIP MOORE introduced his “Comeback Kid Skatepark Project.” He’s built four skateparks for inner city kids so far, and he’s hoping to put up 100 by the time he’s done.
But that’s not his only meaningful project. He tells “Forbes”, quote, “I’m working on a way to make organic juices available to kids in low-income areas. I’m getting together with different organizations to get that going.”
Kip wants to help disadvantaged kids because he recognizes what they’re up against. Quote, “We can be so quick to judge kids that are bad, saying they’re hoodlums or bad seeds, but we’re not understanding what they’re facing every day.
“We’re not understanding their struggle. Not only could they be facing violence in their homes, but the only meals they get are at school. And those don’t have much in them. With the juices, I want to help put something in kids’ systems that’s of nutritional value.”
What’s even cooler is that he plans on doing this kind of stuff for the rest of his life. Quote, “I’ve got a lot of ideas in my head and on my heart. The bigger the career goes, the more money I’ll have to give and the more people I’m going to be able to reach.”
Country legend SONNY JAMES died yesterday. He was 87. He hit number one 26 times, including 16 in a ROW between 1967 and 1971. His most well-known song was probably “Young Love” in 1957, and he was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2006. (Full Story)
