Sam Hunt Got Married on Saturday
SAM HUNT made it official and married his fiancée Hannah Lee Fowler on Saturday. According to TMZ, the wedding took place at a Methodist church in his hometown of Cedartown, Georgia, and there were around 150 guests.
The reception followed at a place called In The Woods in Rockmart, Georgia. A source says the ceremony and reception were videotaped, but for family only. The couple is NOT selling photos to the gossip sites, although a few pics did surface.
(Check out a slideshow of photos from outside the church, here. #2 and #3 show a glimpse of Sam . . . and all the rest are Hannah in her gown, plus various wedding guests. Here are some grainy pics from the reception.)
Sam’s “15 in a 30 Tour” doesn’t get going until June 1st . . . so it’s a safe to say they’re probably enjoying honeymoon relations in some exotic location as we speak.
Brad Paisley’s New Album Features a Johnny Cash Poem That Brad Turned Into a Song . . . Plus A Guest Appearance From Mick Jagger
BRAD PAISLEY packed a lot of cool stuff into his new album, “Love And War”, which is out Friday. There’s a song called “Gold All Over The Ground”, which is an actual poem written by Johnny Cash, that Brad put to music.
In a clip on Instagram, Brad and Johnny’s son John Carter Cash talked about how it came about. Brad captioned the post, “I tried to imagine if Johnny and I sat down and he had an idea, [and] these were the things he wanted to say.”
There’s another track worth talking about called “Drive of Shame”. That one features guest vocals from MICK JAGGER. Turns out they’ve been friends ever since Brad opened some shows for the Rolling Stones a couple of years ago.
There’s a great story around that too. Brad says Mick became a fan of HIS after buying his 1999 album, “Who Needs Pictures”.
Quote, “He said, ‘You may not know it, but when your first album came out, I wanted to hear what you were doing lyrically. I’d heard a few of the songs and the guitar playing and thought, I need to hear this guy.’
“We got to know each other . . . [went] to dinner a few times, and I finally just said, ‘You need to come back here when we’re off.'” That’s what led to Mick joining him on the song.
CHRIS STAPLETON released a new song called “Broken Halos”, and you want to hear it. Yes, you do. It’s one of the tracks on his album, “From A Room: Volume 1”, which drops May 5th. (Here’s the song.)
GARTH BROOKS still has it bad for TRISHA YEARWOOD. Why else would he point the video camera at her slow, sexy walk to, most likely Madame Tussauds. He posted the video alongside a pic of her and her wax figure and captioned it, “There is only ONE @TrishaYearwood. I do like how the other one listens, though.”
GLEN CAMPBELL shared the track listing of his FINAL album. It’s called “Adios” and it’ll be out June 9th. It includes a cover of the ’60s classic “Everybody’s Talkin’“ . . . which has a whole new meaning for someone suffering from Alzheimer’s. Willie Nelson and Vince Gill are also on the album. DIERKS BENTLEY’s wife Cassidy is running in today’s Boston Marathon. Dierks is clearly proud because he posted photos of himself and his three kids wearing special T-shirts that say “Wife Runs” and “Mom Runs.” Cassidy is running for Safe Haven Family Shelter, and the shirts feature that logo too.
