Blake Shelton, Little Big Town, and Charles Kelley have been added to the list of performers at Sunday’s ACMs. Other performers include Carrie Underwood, Sam Hunt, Eric Church, Kenny Chesney, Chris Stapleton, Jason Aldean, Thomas Rhett, Brett Eldredge, plus Dolly Parton with Katy Perry.
KIEFER SUTHERLAND has graced us with the first video from his upcoming country album. The song is called“Not Enough Whiskey“, and if you like singers with limited vocal range and pedestrian songwriting skills, then you’re going to love it. The song will be available on iTunes on April 8th. The album is called “Down In A Hole”, and it’s supposed come out this summer.
JASON ALDEAN scrubbed-up and posed for a family photo with his wife, BRITTANY KERR, and his two daughters, Kendyl and Keeley. He posted the pic on Instagram and wrote, “Happy Easter to everybody. #Family #MyPeeps.”
BRANDI CARLILE and OLD CROW MEDICINE SHOW are teaming up for some tour dates this spring and summer. The first show is April 30th in Atlanta, Georgia. (You can find the dates on Brandi’s website, or the Old Crow tour page.)
A Couple of Professional Pranksters Claim They Made Luke Bryan So Mad That He “Stormed Off” from Their Interview
A couple of professional pranksters say they were hired by LUKE BRYAN’s record label to annoy him . . . and they did such a good job that he got mad and wouldn’t sign the release forms, so we’ll never see what happened.
The guys are Roman Atwood and Dennis Roady and they’re in the upcoming movie “Natural Born Pranksters“, so I guess they have some rep?
Anyway, here’s how it went down. They were flown to Panama City for one of his Spring Break shows, and were given a one-on-one interview at a meet and greet. Luke thought they had won the interview in a contest.
They said, quote, “He was wasted. He was plowed. So [we] just start naming off everybody else’s music. It was like ‘Dude, your song ‘Thunder Rolls’ blew my mind. I still listen to it to this day.'”
They said Luke stormed off when they asked if he’d ever hooked up with DOLLY PARTON. Quote, “He was so confused, and then maybe the alcohol made him angry.” (You can hear clips from the interview, here.)
Dierks Bentley and Luke Bryan Brag About “Trashing Backstage Areas”
DIERKS BENTLEY and LUKE BRYAN have a new angle they’re hoping will show everyone how entertaining they’re going to be when they cohost Sunday’s ACMs. And by “entertaining” I mean “childish.”
They told “People” magazine about the crazy stuff they did while on tour in 2008. Dierks said, quote, “I showed him how to throw a backstage party. And he passed it on to [JASON] ALDEAN.” Luke added, quote, “We trashed a couple of backstage areas.”
Luke also told a “heartwarming” story about what they did to an amplifier that overheated every night. Quote, “Finally we just had enough and decided to end it. We doused it with beer and trashed it. The venue fined us, like, $2,000.”
They even acted out an actual tour cliché. Dierks said, quote, “We did end up swinging from the rafters one night. [Luke], didn’t you have a flip camera tied to your belt?”
There was also a show where only 3,000 people showed up to an arena that seated 20,000, so they threw “one hell of an after-party.” So there you have it, your ACM cohosts have perfected how act like drunken frat boys. What could go wrong?
