MERLE HAGGARD hasn’t fully recovered from last month’s case of pneumonia . . . so he’s canceling his shows tomorrow and Sunday in New Mexico.  Unfortunately, the Internet was spreading misinformation, so his son Ben hit up Twitter to say, “Clear up something.  Dad isn’t sick again, he’s just still recovering.  Takes awhile to get back to normal.”  (Taste of Country)

DIERKS BENTLEY will be on Monday’s “CBS This Morning” during the 8:00 A.M. hour announcing the ACM nominees in select categories.  Afterwards, hit up ETOnline.com to hear NANCY O’DELL read the rest of the nominees.  (Full Story)

CHUCK WICKS announced a mini tour that will kick off February 19th in Lexington, Kentucky.  Expect to hear songs from his upcoming album “Turning Point”, which is due out February 26th.  Get more info at ChuckWicks.com.

MIRANDA LAMBERT’s boyfriend ANDERSON EAST has released the video to a song called “Learning“.  It’s his contribution to the “Southern Family” compilation album.  “Learning” has an old school R&B sound, and is not very country . .  but he does have an impressive voice.

CYNDI LAUPER is releasing an album of classic country covers.  We’re talking songs that were hits back in the ’40s, ’50s, and ’60s.  She did get help from an impressive list of country stars . . . including Willie Nelson,Vince Gill, Emmylou Harris, Jewel, and Alison Krauss.  The album’s called “Detour”, and it’ll be out May 6th.
