Mason Kleman & The Ace of Spades Band is a Texas Country band out of the great city of College Station, Texas. While still attending the magnificent Nazareth High School, Mason and Carl began playing together at FFA talent shows. It didn’t take long for these panhandle plowboys to realize that they were on their way to be some real small town rocks tars. When they got to college they decided to keep their musical bond alive and began jamming out in friends’ garages and backyards. Before too long, they realized that one of their good buddies, Spencer, was pretty damn good on the drums. Just like that, Mason Kleman & The Ace of Spades were born. Spencer busts out the funky beats. Mason plays the hell out of the guitar and tears it up on the vocals. While Crazy Man Carl slaps the bass and gets the girls. Since then, they have added the musical talents of guitarist Zach Schaefer. Zach “Buddy Holly” Schaefer is a local boy from right in College Station who gets down with a damn good blues sound. They’ve played all around the campus of Texas A&M as well as played at The Tap in College Station with acts like Shotgun Rider and Dalton Domino. They’ve also found their way back to the Panhandle playing at places like the infamous Blue Light Live in Lubbock and Suds N Sounds in Nazareth with Flatland Cavalry and Shane Smith & The Saints.
