Here’s How Dierks Bentley Stays Out of the Tabloids
One of the biggest downsides of being a famous country star has to be dealing with all the crap they write about you in the tabloids. But you don’t see a lot of dirt out there about DIERKS BENTLEY, so CMT.com asked how he does it.
He said the most important thing is keeping it “normal.” Quote, “I put a lot of time into making sure my relationship with my family is well taken care of, because I want to be as successful as a father as I am as an entertainer.”
He also treats his fans with respect. Quote, “If someone wants a picture, I’m so honored and so flattered, and I hope I have a reputation as someone who goes out of his way to do those kinds of things.”
There’s one more thing he does, or should I say doesn’t do, that helps keep him out of the spotlight. He’s turned down several offers to do reality shows.
CARRIE UNDERWOOD has been added to the lineup of performers at tomorrow night’s CMTs. There’s also some sort of collaboration going down with Cassadee Pope, rapper Pitbull, and pop singer Leona Lewis. Leona and ADAM LAMBERT are nominated in the Performance Video of the Year category. (CMT)
Speaking of Carrie Underwood: Her husband Mike Fisher turned 36 over the weekend so they celebrated by FIRING a canon in their back yard. She posted a slo-mo version of the video on Instagram and wrote, “And for such an occasion, we celebrated by bringing the #boom. Happy birthday, Mike.”
KENNY CHESNEY performed the RANDY TRAVIS classic “Diggin’ Up Bones” at his show on Saturday in Texas. And it got very special when Randy took the stage to help him sing it. (Here’s a clip.)
