There are a million songs about falling in love, but not many about long-term relationships. Because, well . . . that’s boring. But not according to DIERKS BENTLEY. His next album is filled with music influenced by his 10-year marriage.
He says, quote, “Everyone talks about new love, but there’s so much to draw from when you’ve been in a longer relationship. It makes me stick my chest out a little bit. It’s like, ‘I know what you’ve been through, but you don’t know what it’s like over here.’
“[Marriage] isn’t always commercialized as being cool, but it really is.”
By the way, the album’s called “Black” . . . and there’s some irony around that. He adds, quote, “The kicker is that my wife’s last name is Black.” There’s no word yet on a release date.
One more thing about Dierks. Somebody asked what kind of ideas he’s been kicking around before co-hosting the ACMs with LUKE BRYAN. Not many. Quote, “I think it comes down to having a few drinks and being loose.
“I’ve had some shows where I plan out what I’m going to say and I’ve had other shows where I’m like, ‘Take a sip of the old smoky moonshine and, y’know just let it be natural and cross your fingers that you say the right things.”
The ACMs are April 3rd on CBS.
MIRANDA LAMBERT’s boyfriend ANDERSON EAST is from Athens, Alabama . . . which has to explain why she was posing for photos with fans at a local burger joint on Saturday. (You can check them out here, and here.)
She also forwarded his Instagram video of two little piggies wearing University of Alabama gear while “Sweet Home Alabama” plays in the background. She captioned it, “Somethin’ about a boy from the south.”
LAUREN ALAINA tries to act sexy in her “Next Boyfriend” video. Mission accomplished.
