Hunter Hayes Witnessed Yesterday’s Blue Angels Crash . . . Because He Was There to Ride with Them
HUNTER HAYES witnessed a tragedy yesterday. He was watching the Blue Angels as they practiced for their weekend airshow . . . when one of the jets went down in a horrific crash that killed the pilot.
This was in Smyrna, Tennessee, near Nashville, and he was there because he was going to take a ride IN one of the jets. His publicist told WKRN-TV that the accident took place right in front of him, but he wasn’t injured.
Hunter hit up social media yesterday to say, “The tragedy today with the Blue Angels is so devastating. My heart and prayers are with the pilot’s family and the entire Blue Angels team.”
According to reports, the air show is STILL going to happen, but the Blue Angels won’t be participating.
A similar accident happened yesterday in Colorado when a Thunderbird F-16 crashed, but the pilot ejected safely. It was returning from a flyover of the Air Force Academy graduation ceremony, which was attended by PRESIDENT OBAMA.
Blake Shelton Will Be Real Sad When the Election is Over
“Rolling Stone” asked BLAKE SHELTON for his opinions on this years elections and that’s where he went.
He said, quote, “The only thing I’m going to tell you is that [I’ll] be real sad when it’s over, because this is literally one of the most addictive, entertaining things I’ve seen in my life. It’s amazing what we’re seeing right now.”
They also asked why he cut back on posting outrageous stuff on social media. It’s because he’s tired of the drama that comes with it, and the “crybaby reaction” he gets from this “politically correct” world.
He said, quote, “[I] end up second guessing everything. It just sucks the life out of the world for me. Everybody needs to take a chill pill.” Blake says he’s found it’s just easier to “keep his mouth shut.”
Here are two more collaborations for next week’s CMTs. DIERKS BENTLEY and ELLE KING will perform their song “Different For Girls”. And BILLY RAY CYRUS will be doing some kind of mashup with CHEAP TRICK. Expect Billy Ray to promote his CMT series “Still The King”, which premieres June 12th. (CMT)
MAREN MORRIS’s new album “Hero” is out today, and she has a pretty bold explanation of why she chose the title. Quote, “I’ve sort of become my own hero over the last two years [by] having the guts to go from songwriter to being an artist, which is a scary thing to do.”
JASON ALDEAN’s“Lights Come On“ video plays like a mini-documentary . . . in that it takes you behind the scenes of his Six String Circus Tour. He says, quote, “What I really wanted to capture with this video [is] the moment we step on stage and give it everything we have.”
