Granger Smith Kept Performing After Falling Off Stage and Breaking Two Ribs
GRANGER SMITH fell through a stage monitor and INTO a metal barricade on Friday in Sayreville,New Jersey. Yeah, pretty nasty. He ended up with two broken ribs, PLUS a punctured and partially collapsed lung.
Now here comes badass part. He still finished the show. He was in all kinds of pain but he powered through till the end. Granger did check into the hospital later on and that’s when he found out how serious he was hurt.
He canceled his other weekend shows.
Someone posted a video and you can see him step on the monitor, and then spin around and disappear. After a moment he climbs back up and cracks a joke that it “must’ve been a city boy” who put it there.
He hit up social media to say, “I took a pretty hard spill in Jersey. Thanks for the well wishes. Y’all mean the world to me. I’ll be out of the hospital and 100% soon.”
DOLLY PARTON is organizing a telethon to benefit the victims of the fires in East Tennessee. It’s still in the planning stages but we do know it’s going down December 13th in Nashville. (WKRN)
TMZ ambushed GARTH BROOKS and asked if he’d accept an invitation to perform at DONALD TRUMP’sinauguration. He kinda said yes, quote, “I haven’t been asked. It’s always about serving. It’s what you do.”
DAVID NAIL’s “Good at Tonight“ video is filled with live clips where he’s performing, greeting fans, and even sipping from a red Solo cup.
MAREN MORRIS will be the musical guest on this week’s “Saturday Night Live”. She’s the first country artist to perform on the show this year. (ABC)
CAM brought a young girl to the stage during her show last week in Columbus, Ohio . . . and let her help perform “Burning House”. She posted a video clip and wrote that she wanted the “aspiring artist” to experience the feeling and connection with the audience.
LORETTA LYNN remembers far too many days early in her career when she’d be on tour playing clubs instead of spending Christmas with her young kids. Quote, “Just close your eyes and think about your own family . . . and about being away from them on the holidays. It was hard for me. Sometimes I’d cry.” (People)
