Kate Hudson Is Making an Album: “Music Is My Life”

Is there anything Kate Hudson can’t do?

The Deepwater Horizon actress revealed Tuesday that in addition to making movies and designing an athleisure collection, she plans to make an album. “I’d love to do a record,” she confessed to Jimmy Fallon on NBC’s The Tonight Show. Hudson has music in her blood, thanks to her father, singer Bill Hudson (from whom she’s estranged), and her mother, dancer-turned-actress Goldie Hawn. And Kate—who broke out in 2000’s Almost Famous—even welcomed two sons of her own with rockers: the Black Crowes‘ Chris Robinson and Muse‘s Matthew Bellamy.

Understandably, Kate has some reservations about putting herself out there. “I’ve always been scared of making music, because I like authentic [songs]. I like music that feels really honest. I love pop music! But I write music and it’s super depressing,” said Kate, who inherited Goldie’s bubbly attitude. “I just kind of feel like it’d be like, ‘Oh, Kate’s gonna do—whoa! What is that?'”

Garth Brooks Now Has More Diamond Albums Than The Beatles

In case you haven’t been paying attention, GARTH BROOKS is still the king.  His album “The Ultimate Hits”has gone DIAMOND . . . meaning it’s sold ten million copies.

It’s his seventh album to be certified diamond, and he’s the FIRST artist in history to achieve that.

He passed THE BEATLES, who have six.  They’re still ahead of him in total album sales though, with 178 million copies sold.  Garth has only sold 138 million, but let’s not count him out yet.

His other diamond certifications include his self-titled debut album, “Garth Brooks”. . . plus “No Fences”,“Ropin’ the Wind”, “The Hits”, “Sevens”, and “Double Live”.

JUSTIN MOORE’s “You Look Like I Need A Drink” is his sixth #1 song.  So, someone asked if he’ll be celebrating . . . with a drink.  He said, “Absolutely.  We don’t have a ritual that we do, but I definitely have a good time in celebration.”  (ABC Radio)

KELLIE PICKLER talked about a recent visit to Japan on yesterday’s “Ellen”.  As usual, she was adorable . . . and also as usual, somebody popped out and scared her.  (Here’s the link.  The popout comes at 2:41.)

DIERKS BENTLEY brought MAREN MORRIS out to perform their duet “I’ll Be The Moon” at Colorado’s Red Rocks Amphitheatre on Monday.  (Check it out, here.  The music kicks in at 2:08.)
