Drake’s Top 5 Favorite Christmas Movies:
- A Charlie Brown Christmas – A classic for the last 50 years and the movie that spells out what Christmas is all about.
- National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation – At times, haven’t we all be at least a little like Clark Griswold? Whether it be wanting the lights to look amazing on the house, spend family time together to get the tree, or have our boss kidnapped for being a stingy bastard?
- Die Hard – Yes, this constitutes as a Christmas movie! John McClane flies to LA to spend time with his family for Christmas, it’s not his fault he gets caught up in one of the greatest hostage situations in movie history.
- The Santa Clause – After watching this one as a kid, did you ever kind of hope your dad would scare Santa and make him fall off your roof?
- Scrooged – Hilarious retelling of the classic “Christmas Carol” with the comedic genius that is Bill Murray. Few can pull off crazy like Murray!
Mel’s Top 5 Favorites Christmas Movies:
- A Tuna Christmas– This is actually a play put on by two men who play all the characters by themselves! Man or Woman. It is a hilarious reflection of a very small country town. You know, where everybody knows everybody AND their business. This is now a family tradition to watch this at some point around Christmas. Okay, it’s more my mom and I’s favorite and we may or may not quote it year round to each other!
- Elf– Pure gold from Will Ferrell.
- Rudolph The Red-Nosed Reindeer– I have loved this movie since I was a baby! It’s one of those classics along with Frosty The Snowman that I have to watch!
- Frosty The Snowman
- It’s a Wonderful Life– An amazing classic, that highlights family and faith. Can’t get much better than that!
