Luke Bryan Finally Made It: A Clerk at a Fancy New York City Store Recognized Him

LUKE BRYAN is a huge star, I think we can all agree on that.  But he didn’t feel “big time” until some shop clerk in New York City recognized him.

He tells “People”, quote, “I walked into some high-end retail store, and the sales guy is like, ‘How are you, Mr. Bryan?  We love your music.’

“I relish that stuff.  The fact that I can come into town being a boy from South Georgia and have a legitimate place in a big city like Chicago, Boston, L.A., and certainly New York City . . . it’s very flattering.”

Speaking of Luke:  He recently spent a couple of hours with families and patients at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta.  He answered questions, signed autographs, and took silly selfies with the kids.

He topped it off by encouraging them to join him as he performed “Play It Again”.

Maddie & Tae Explain Why They Almost Quit the Business

It almost seems like MADDIE & TAE glided right into stardom.  They were both teenagers when“Girl In A Country Song” blew up, and they really haven’t missed a step.

But MADDIE MARLOW remembers a time when they were thinking about cashing it in.  What turned them around was writing their song, “Fly”.  Quote, “[It’s] a very special song to us.  We wrote it when we were in a very vulnerable place.

“Nothing was happening.  We’d been together for five years, and had moved to Nashville at 17.  I think a lot of [artists] have that moment where they can’t do this, and think they don’t have what it takes because nothing is happening.

“We had to write that song to encourage ourselves and to remind ourselves to keep going.”

LADY ANTEBELLUM will be taking some time off after their tour ends in the fall . . . and they’re not even setting a timeline for when they’ll be back.  And yet, HILLARY SCOTT says it probably won’t be too long.  Quote, “Knowing us, it’ll probably be a lot shorter than what we set out for it to be.”  (Full Story)

JENNIFER NETTLES is going to release a new single sometime in October and a new album early next year.  In the meantime, she’s launching a fall tour that will kick off October 23rd in Atlanta, Georgia.  BRANDY CLARKand RYAN KINDER will be the openers.  Grab details at JenniferNettles.com.

CARRIE UNDERWOOD is going to be a guest judge on the Season 14 finale of “Project Runway”.  Other judges for the finale include Heidi Klum, Tim Gunn, Nina Garcia, and Zac Posen.  (People)
