Toby Keith Was Moved to Tears By the Words of a 93-Year-Old Veteran
You may have heard how TOBY KEITH likes to honor our military personnel by bringing them on stage. Well, his guest last Friday was a 93-year-old veteran named Lt. Colonel Harry Frizzell, and his words brought Toby to tears.
He was introduced at the encore, and Toby dedicated “American Soldier” and “Courtesy of the Red, White and Blue (The Angry American)” to him.
When the songs finished, Toby turned the mic over to the Lt. Colonel who gave a moving speech about his service in World War 2, Korea, and Vietnam. He finished with, quote, “I’m so proud to be representing the U.S. God Bless America.”
It was the perfect ending, so the band started playing, and that’s when you can see Toby on the big screen wiping the tears from his eyes. And the camera stays with him for a while to show how emotional he is.

“It really hurts our hearts that people arrive at that and can’t work it out. Yeah, you do think about it in this business. Caroline and I just say our prayers that we’re happy and that things are good.”
Frankie Ballard Learned How to Headline a Concert, By Sitting in the Crowd
Some opening acts learn how to headline by standing backstage and watching. FRANKIE BALLARD learned by sitting in the audience. He says, quote, “I learn a lot about what I don’t like about going to shows.
“So when I’m [headlining] a concert I can try to eliminate some of that stuff.” One thing he really doesn’t like is when it takes 30 minutes in between acts. Quote, “I’m like, ‘All right, man, let’s go!’ That’s the kind of stuff that bothers me.”
