Kip Moore is Building a Series of Skate Parks for Inner City Kids

 KIP MOORE held a press conference yesterday in Nashville to announce his “Comeback Kid Skatepark Project”.  It’s a series of skate parks that that are being built in inner cities across the country.

He calls it his “passion project”, saying, quote, “It came from me wanting to give kids in inner cities a safe outlet, where they can form the bonds I know can be made from having somewhere awesome to go and be a part of something they enjoy.”

Phase one will have parks in Nashville, Boston . . . plus San Marcos, Texas, and Annapolis, Maryland.  He says, quote, “We’re starting with these four cities, but the plan is to keep growing this as far and wide as we can.”

Part of the inspiration is from his song “Comeback Kid”.  Quote, “I wrote it at a time when I felt like a comeback kid, but now when I sing it I think less about myself and more about the kids we’re doing this for and how much I admire and respect them.”

Carrie Underwood Did Her First Post-Baby Photo Shoot, and Yeah, She Looks Awesome

CARRIE UNDERWOOD slipped into her stretchy workout clothes and did her first post-baby photo shoot on Monday.  The pics are for the fall line of her women’s fitness wear, “Calia by Carrie Underwood.”

It’s been a little over three months since her son Isaiah was born, but she still finds the time to firm things up.

She says, quote, “Having a baby definitely changes your routine, and I have to work around his schedule.  Whenever he goes to sleep, I do the things I need to do for myself and make workouts happen when they can.”  People.com has a photo.

Carrie’s also getting back to work.  She’ll be performing at the Grand Ole Opry next Tuesday, and the next night, on Wednesday, at the CMT Music Awards.  She’s also doing a show on June 13th at the CMA MusicFest.

Although it’s been a while since she’s faced a live audience, she’s ready, quote, “I’m excited to get back onstage.”

 

Remember that working bar that’s on stage at BRAD PAISLEY’s tour?  Well, it’s not just for fans.  OpenerMICKEY GUYTON is also getting a taste.  She said, quote, “He had me go up there and take a shot of Jack.”  (Taste of Country)

RANDY ROGERS’ wife Chelsea gave birth to their second daughter yesterday, and they named her Rumer Rain.  Their other girl is named River Rose, so I guess they really like water.  Randy also has a daughter from a previous marriage, but she escaped with the name Isabell Ruth.  (Country Weekly)

 

BLAKE SHELTON contributed a song to an upcoming movie called “Max”, which is about a military service dog.  The song is “Forever Young“.  It features GWEN SEBASTIAN on backup vocals, and is actually a cover of a 1974 BOB DYLAN song.  (Rolling Stone)

 

KRISTIAN BUSH performed his song “Light Me Up“ during a recent appearance at the Grand Ole Opry.

THOMAS RHETT and his hot wife went to a TAYLOR SWIFT concert on Tuesday.  He posted a pic on Instagram and captioned it, “Me and Lauren drove to Louisville tonight to see the #1989 tour.  It was awesome and we had a blast.”
