Brad Paisley’s New Stage Includes a Working Bar, and Nintendo
Here’s one way to make sure your fans have a good time at the show. The stage for BRAID PAISLEY’S new ‘Crushin’ It’ world tour has a working BAR on it.
It has a countertop, fully-functional taps, and serves 20 to 30 people during four songs, including “Water”, “Beat This Summer”, and “Perfect Storm”.
It’s for special guests and contest winners, so it’s not as if they’ll be calling seat numbers for random people in the crowd . . . although that would be a cool idea.
And the people at the bar have their shadows projected on one of the huge screens behind the band, that change to fit the vibe of the song. So the people getting hammered are part of the show in more ways than one.
That’s not the only gimmick Brad’s rolling out. You may have heard he’s also hooking a Nintendo Wii up to the video screens during the show, and letting a kid from the audience play Mario Cart during “Time Warp”.
You can see an example from the May 15th show in Philly. Just search YouTube for “Mason plays Mario Cart during Brad Paisley concert.”
The CMT Music Awards announced their co-hosts on Friday. It’ll be Brittany Snow from the “Pitch Perfect”movies with Erin Andrews from Fox Sports and “Dancing with the Stars”. The show will be live next Wednesday, June 10th. Carrie Underwood, Florida Georgia Line, Jason Aldean, Keith Urban, Kenny Chesney, Lady Antebellum, and Luke Bryan are all performing. (People)
If you’re a fan of GARTH BROOKS and ice hockey, and you live in Tampa Bay, we have good news and bad news. The bad news is that his three shows this weekend were just cancelled. The good news is that it’s because the Tampa Bay Lightning will be playing Game 2 of the Stanley Cup there this Saturday. (Taste of Country)
BILLY CURRINGTON’s new album “Summer Forever” comes out tomorrow, so he released a few teasers over the weekend. Here’s “Jonesin’“, and here’s “Good Night“, with backing vocals by Jesse James Decker.
