Will Luke Bryan Come Back from Europe with a Beer Gut?
LUKE BRYAN is heading out of the country at the end of the month for a brief tour of Europe. He’s excited about it for a couple of reasons. For one, he’s been told to expect a very good response from the fans.
He says, quote, “I know, just talking with other artist friends who’ve gone over there, the enthusiasm and the passion of the fans, from what I hear, is on a whole other level of music enthusiasm.”
And then there’s the REAL reason he’s pumped about it. Quote, “I’m excited to get over there and see . . . the beer. The beer’s gonna be really good.
“I’ll probably come back 20 pounds heavier. I’ll have to do spring break right when I get back from Europe. I’ll probably look like ELVIS at 42, probably sweating’ out Amsterdam.”
Toby Keith Is Being Inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame
Before TOBY KEITH was opening restaurants, running his own record company, and depositing bags of money in the bank, he was a songwriter.
Actually, he still is, but my point is that’s what started it all. He’s one of the artists chosen for this year’s Songwriters Hall of Fame, and he really does consider it an honor.
He tells “Rolling Stone”, quote, “I write songs every day. When someone writes their own things, to me they release their character in their music and that character shines through in all their songs. It is what I take the most pride in.
“I am honored to be inducted into the Songwriters Hall Of Fame. It means the world to me and it is the only award that I will display on my desk. P.S. And it was mostly hard rhymes.” The Hall of Fame ceremony takes place June 18th in New York City.
