You Don’t Know the Real Jake Owen, Unless You’re Following Him on Twitter
You might think the best way to know the real JAKE OWEN is by listening to his music . . . but you’d be wrong. You don’t really know Jake, until you follow him on social media.
He says, quote, “I think by following me on Twitter, you get a really good picture of who I am as a person, what I believe in, the kind of things that I’m proud of. I’m a family guy, but I also like to have fun with my buddies and friends.”
In fact, the best compliment Jake ever got was from a Twitter follower he met in a restaurant. He says, quote, “[This] guy came over and said, ‘I don’t know you at all, but I feel like I know you just from following you on Twitter. I feel like we’re friends.'”
Jake really does appreciate the fans who follow him: Quote, “It’s nice to know that people out there I’ve never met before feel like they’re on a friend level with me just because I keep in contact with them personally through social media.”
Is Blake Shelton the New Taylor Swift?
There was an article in the “Washington Post” saying BLAKE SHELTON has replacedTAYLOR SWIFT as the face of country music. CMT.com condensed it down to six points that are worth talking about. Here they are:
1. His massive mainstream success on “The Voice” has earned him fans outside the country bubble.
2. His country-boy-in-the-big-city image works, and it’s not an act.
3. The way he’s stayed true to his image: The hard-drinking partier, which is “universally relatable.”
4. He’s open about his drinking. Super open. The guy has no shame and nothing to hide.
5. He can’t believe he’s as famous as he is.
6. Nashville needs Shelton.
