“People” magazine asked MIRANDA LAMBERT about her dogs . . . and off she went. She said, quote, “I have seven now. Delilah was my first, but she lives with grandmother half the time.
“I have two that live at my farm. I have four that are in our house most of the time. But I looked at BLAKE[SHELTON] one day and realized if I don’t give him a break from these dogs, he might go crazy.”
So, to protect her husband’s sanity, she banished the dogs into the cold, wet night. Just kidding . . . she secured them a climate-controlled home of their own.
She said, quote, “I built them their own house outside of ours. It’s one of those pre-fab buildings from Lowe’s and we had heat and air put in it, little doggie beds, and built them a fence. So they have their own place.”
JASON ALDEAN explained why he pulled his album, “Old Boots, New Dirt” from Spotify. It’s not a selfish thing . . . it’s about making sure the creative people behind the scenes get their due.
He said, quote, “While I’m definitely paying attention to the business side of things, I am first and foremost an artist. I’m an artist whose career has been built by the songwriters, publishers, producers, and engineers that line Music Row in Nashville.
“What they do has value, and I want everyone involved in making my music to be paid fairly. This is about trying to do what’s right for the people who’ve given me a great life.
“I don’t know what the future holds or what my record label will decide to do with streaming partners, but for now, we made a mutual decision to hold my album back.”
(Meanwhile, JUSTIN MOORE and BRANTLEY GILBERT are the latest country artists to pull some of their music from Spotify. You can read about that here.)
