You hear a lot of country artists talk about how much they love and respect their mom, which is cool. But it’s not often you hear them go into the kind of detail that JAKE OWEN did when the subject came up.
He said, quote, “I’m totally a mama’s boy. I love my mom. I love my dad as well, of course. I’ve always been really close to my mom and I’m proud of that. I think it takes a real man to say that he’s a mama’s boy.”
“Real man” Jake is pretty sure he inherited his creativity from his mom. He adds, quote, “She’s a really creative woman and a great artist . . . she can draw and paint really well.
“And she can make anything. She’s an artist with a sewing machine too. I’ve always just appreciated that about my mom. She’s just so creative and caring and I’m a lot like her.”
You know at a concert when the headliner brings out the opening act and they do song or two together? It’s a treat for the audience yes, but it’s also a huge deal for the opener.
It’s something COLE SWINDELL is hoping will happen when he joins JASON ALDEAN’S “Burnin’ It Down” tour in February.
Cole tells “Rolling Stone”, quote, “I better not plan it, but I’d love to be on stage with [Jason]. Hopefully I’ll get to go out and sing one of his big hits with him.
“I love ‘Tonight Looks Good On You’. I don’t even know if he plays it live, but I’d try to get him and his band to learn it live. That’s not too much to ask, right?”
TYLER FARR is the other opener. No word if he’s angling to get some stage time with Jason too.
