Ronnie Dunn Wants to Arm and Train Americans to Fight ISIS
RONNIE DUNN didn’t like what he heard when PRESIDENT OBAMA addressed the nation after the tragedy in Orlando, so he took to social media to express his feelings.
In a message on Facebook he accused Obama of “implying” the violence will stop “if guns are taken away.” Naturally, the post got tons of shares and comments on both sides of the gun debate.
But Ronnie isn’t just trying to stir the pot . . . he has a plan. In a follow-up post he wrote, “I hope liberals don’t take this wrong but I think we should arm America [and] properly screen and train Americans first.”
He drew a parallel to World War 2, suggesting that we waited too long before entering that conflict. He doesn’t want us to sit on our hands again because he’s convinced ISIS has “infiltrated America” and the “violence is going to escalate.”
He added, quote, “We’re entering a dark period in history where evil is on the march against good. We the people have to participate, but not until we are qualified.”
Dolly Parton is Asking Everyone to “Love a Little More”
DOLLY PARTON held a press conference yesterday in Toronto to promote her North American tour, and, because of her following in the gay community, she was asked about the tragedy in Orlando.
She said, quote, “I do have a big gay following. I’m a patron saint for a lot of them. All those drag queens, sometimes I see some of them look more like me than I do. As far as what happened in Orlando, that’s horrible. [It’s] a hate crime.”
But Dolly’s remedy for the situation is just the opposite of hate. Quote, “I really think it’s important that we as a nation, we as a people, try and love each other a little better and try and love each other a little more.”
She also suggests looking to a higher power for guidance. Quote, “I am not God. I am no judge. I just know that God loves us all. I just think it’s terrible that people kill anybody for any reason.” (You can listen to some of Dolly’s comments, here.)
Kacey Musgraves Took Down Her Social Media Post Recommending We Go Back to “Saloon Days” and “Carry Revolvers”
KACEY MUSGRAVES was very active on Twitter after the tragedy in Orlando. At first she talked about how it made her cry and feel sick. And then she wrote a post that got everyone talking.
She said: (Careful) “Let’s go back to saloon days where every [M-Effer] is carrying a revolver and anyone walking in to disturb the peace might think twice.”
Some people took it for face value, thinking she believes everyone SHOULD have a gun . . . while others thought it was sarcasm. Either way, she took the post down, but it survived on several websites.
(Here’s one. Unfortunately, the tweet itself looks suspicious. Look closely at the date-time stamp of her actual tweets and then take another look at the date-time stamp of her “deleted” tweet. It looks to us like someone faked it, or simply tried to recreate it after the original was deleted. Either way, it seems a little shady.)
The storm didn’t die so Kacey kept going back and trying to make nice. She wrote, “Look. Emotions are high. Mine included. Just hating hate. Lots of opinions in the mix. LOVE is the only true answer. Hard subject, though.”
And then this: “All I know is something isn’t working. That’s all. I love y’all and my true intent is peaceful.”
