CHARLES KELLEY has no doubt THE EAGLES would be all over country radio if they were just starting out now. Quote, “The Eagles, if they came out today, I mean they’d be country. And they were, kind of. They started out kind of as a country band.”
Obviously, this came up while he was reflecting on the death of GLENN FREY, who was his favorite Eagles songwriter. Quote, “I guess I’d always known that Glenn was amazing. He was behind all the best Eagles’ songs. I have such respect [for him].”
KEITH URBAN paid tribute to GLENN FREY by sitting at the piano and performing “Take It Easy”. He posted the video on Facebook and wrote, “So deeply saddened to hear of Glenn’s passing. Way too young. Blessings to all of his family and the EAGLES.”
Dierks Bentley Released a New Song . . . and Will Be Launching a Tour
DIERKS BENTLEY has released a new song called “Somewhere On A Beach”. It’s the first single from his album “Black”, which will be out this year.
He also announced he’s bringing RANDY HOUSER and CAM along on the “Somewhere On A Beach ” tour. Dates are still being finalized, but a few cities have been posted at Dierks.com.
(He debuted “Somewhere on a Beach” yesterday on “Ellen“. If you need a laugh, stay tuned after the song because he gives away a trip to an upcoming concert in Florida, and the winner goes nuts and acts like a crazy game show contestant.)
