Jay DeMarcus Says Rascal Flatts Deserves an Entertainer of the Year Trophy
RASCAL FLATTS has won a ton of country music awards, but they’ve yet to take home Entertainer of the Year . . . and it’s bothering JAY DEMARCUS. He’d understand it if they weren’t doing well, but that’s not the case.
He says there were years “in the mid-2000s” where they were worthy of it. They had solid record sales and huge tours but for some reason they didn’t get enough votes. Quote, “That’s the toughest one for me to come to terms with.”
Adding insult to injury is that they’ve had to watch way too many former opening acts blow right by them to win the big prize.
In more positive Rascal Flatts news. They’ve been working with the Make-a-Wish Foundation for about ten years. It started around the time ESPN began using their song “My Wish” as their Make-a-Wish theme.
In honor of the 10-year anniversary they did an interview with ESPN where they talked about their involvement with the program and how they meet one Make-a-Wish kid a week while on tour. (You can check that out, here.)
Why Did Brad Paisley Do A Painting of Demi Lovato’s Dog?

Brad’s a huge comic book nerd and he loved the name. It reminded him of artwork he saw of a kid standing with a towel tied around his neck, but his shadow is Superman. So he did a painting of Demi’s dog, but the image on the wall is Batman.
